A: Be direct and straightforward. Describe specifically how AI tools are used in instruction, what student data those tools process and how it's protected, what your academic integrity expectations are around student AI use, and how students can raise concerns or access additional support if AI tools aren't meeting their needs. Institutions that communicate clearly and specifically about AI practices consistently report higher student trust and lower rates of misunderstanding-driven integrity issues than those that leave AI governance implicit.
