Why California is the Golden State to Open A University!
We provide the licensing and accreditation needed to establish a new university and offer comprehensive guidance throughout the process.

This involves helping our clients understand all the legal and financial requirements around university establishment, as well as providing marketing and branding advice to ensure their university or college stands out from other educational institutions.

Our competitors can only offer a limited service, either licensing or accreditation, as most don't have the skills or team required to provide a turnkey service. This is why EEC stands out from the crowd – we can offer our clients everything they need to get their university off the ground easily and efficiently.
We aim to provide a complete service that will give our clients every chance of success when setting up their university. With EEC, you get a complete package of expertise and support for your university startup project.

At EEC we're looking at building a long-term relationship with our clients, where launching a university is only the first step.

We are confident that no other company can match our team of experts and their specialized knowledge.

Many of my international clients come to me with the question "which state should I start my private university in?" and my answer, without hesitation, is California.  Besides the obvious well-known features of the State of California, like the beautiful weather all year round, the amazing nature, being home to Hollywood's stars, Silicon Valley's technology, Napa Valley's wines, and ancient Redwood and Sequoia forests, here are the reasons that make it, "in my opinion", the best state to start a private university:

1. Having over 40 million residents with 40% of these residents being non-white minority groups, has given it its very unique diverse culture. If you are white, Asian, Black, Hispanic, or any other race, you will feel at home in California. You will walk down the streets and find strangers smiling in your face as if they know you because, although they don't know you, they feel that they share a journey with you.

2. The Bureau For Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) has very clear guidelines for applying for a license to operate a postsecondary education institution. You can get all the information that you need either by visiting their website or communicating with the Bureau by email or phone. They will always reply almost immediately to all your inquiries with all the detailed information that you might need. BPPE holds free workshops to walk you through the process of completing the application and they hand you a detailed handbook that contains all the information that you might need.

3. California is one of the very few states that still allows non-accredited universities to get a license to operate for 5 years until you obtain your accreditation. The majority of the states now will not allow you to apply for a license to operate as a degree program education provider institution unless you are fully accredited.

4. In California, you can use the name "college" if you are offering undergraduate degree programs or "university" if you are offering postgraduate degree programs .... from day one. In most other states, you are either not allowed to use a name that contains "college" or "university" until you are fully accredited, or you have to apply for approval of these words in the name of your institution.

5. California is considered one of the wealthiest states in America which ensures that you will be able to enroll students who can afford to pay for higher education out of their own pocket, which means that you don't have to wait until you are accredited, which allows for your students to get student loans or financial aid.

6. California is one of the most desirable places to live in which makes it a very attractive location for international students.

Conclusion

These are some of the reasons that make California the golden state for start-ups in general and start-up universities in particular. If you plan to open a university or college in the USA, I can help. Get in touch with me or my team.
